Illustration

This is a bit of a hodge podge of illustrations. I hope to do more in the near future and land on a more definitive style. But, for now you can see the current collection!

The little sketchbook drawings of food were from a project I did when my son started eating food (besides milk) at 6 months old. I would doodle what he ate that day as a way to keep up the practice of drawing every day. It also worked as a nice way to keep me accountable to only feed him food that was good for him because I’d share it on social media every night after that glorious thing called “kid bedtime”. I shared them on an Instagram account called babyleddrawing. Then once he turned 1 and was eating anything and everything I decided to end the project. Because of project, Jacob and I made lots of trips to the farmer’s market and because cooking vegetables takes lots of time, he’d often be in a carrier or sitting up on the counter cooking with me. Eating veggies became our thing. So for his 1st birthday party, we went with a farmer’s market theme. I designed the invites using some of the illustrations from the baby-led drawing project. You can see them here.
